Hands up, Norwich! It's Aging in Place week again
Last month's Aging in Place, Norwich day yielded about 10 volunteers, Judy Pond tells me, and about eight people in town who requested help. (Two canceled.)
A month has passed and now Judy is back at it, connecting people with each other in Norwich for another Aging in Place day scheduled for Saturday the 25th.
You know the drill, right? Email Judy at email@example.com or call her at 649-140 by Wednesday at noon with the following:
-- To get help, Judy needs to know the task or favor, your name, and, if you're a first-timer, your phone number, email and street address.
-- To give help, Judy needs the kind of work you're willing to do, your name and, if you're a first-timer, the same info.
Judy told me she usually gets more helpers than help requests. If that happens this week, she might assign you a partner.
By the way, I asked Judy for a photo to illustrate this post and she said her hard drive had crashed and she was scrambling to rebuild her database. I wonder if she could use a little volunteer help ...
