Another crash at the busy Maple, Bridge and Pine Street intersection
WHITE RIVER JUNCTION - A Hanover resident was ticketed for running a red light following a crash over the noon hour on Saturday that sent an elderly Hartford resident to the hospital with what were believed to be minor injuries.
Hartford Police Officer Jonathan Angulo investigated the accident and said the woman driving the silver car had come over the Lehman Bridge on Bridge Street next to the Hartford Town Hall and was heading through the intersection to Pine Street when the westbound black pickup truck on Maple Street "blew through" the red light and t-boned her vehicle.
The impact spun the smaller car around, swiping it across a small traffic median where it shoved an ornamental planter full of flowers back several feet before the car came to a rest at the beginning of Pine Street.
Bystanders, including several employees from the Upper Valley Auto Mart, rushed to help
The planter started out where the hubcap is resting on the right
