The first installment of Norwich property taxes for 2018-19 is due Friday. If you haven't paid it yet, you're not alone.
"Typically it's about a million dollar day," said Roberta Robinson, the town's finance director.
If you're paying in person, you need to materialize in the Finance Office by 4:30 Friday, Aug. 17.
If you're paying by mail, it needs to be postmarked on the 17th.
You can also pay online but there's a fee for both e-checks and credit cards.
Of course, there's also a fee if you're late. It's 1 percent per month for the first three months, 1.5 percent thereafter.
