Has Extensive Experience in the Field
After reviewing 16 applications for the position of Interim Superintendent of SAU 6, using the criteria adopted by the SAU 6 School Board during the June 28 meeting, the Interim Search Committee made the decision to interview three candidates. These interviews took place between July 13, and July 17. Based on the results of those interviews and the position criteria, the applicant the board felt best qualified to fill the Interim Superintendent position was Dr. Keith Pfeifer.
Pfeifer is a career public educator, having worked in school systems throughout New England and in Pennsylvania. He holds a Doctorate in Education from the Pennsylvania State University in Education administration and policy. He has extensive experience as a Superintendent in Massachusetts, Pennsylvania, Maine and New Hampshire, including most recently, four stints as an Interim Superintendent in New Hampshire after his retirement from the Littleton School System; (SAU 61 (Farmington), 93 (Monadnock), 84 (Littleton) and 75 (Grantham)). His Superintendent certification in the state of New Hampshire is current, and he has considerable experience and knowledge of the challenges facing New Hampshire schools.
"Dr. Pfeifer’s knowledge and experience make him the best candidate to meet our needs for an Interim Superintendent," said the district in a statement.
He is scheduled to begin on Aug. 13.
