Like Organic Food? Don't Mind Lifting Heavy Boxes? Crossroad Farmstand's Looking for Help
Crossroad Farm's stand in Norwich -- the one taken over from Killdeer Farm last year -- is looking for a few workers for the fall. Its crew of summertime helpers is moving on, but the crops aren't going to stop showing up. And neither are the customers.
Stand manager Sarah Brousseau is looking for two part-time and one full-time helper, though "I am very flexible and am willing to work with a number of potential employees should the hours be too much or not enough."
And why work there? "Working at the Norwich Farm Stand for Crossroad Farm is a true testament to eating locally and seasonally," she says. "While working here, employees get a sense of place and time - through what's being harvested and what's being sold. We get to interact with customers all day, everyday, sharing and spreading the love of fresh produce! It's fun, hard work that will leave you hungry and ready for a good home-cooked meal."
