Man Accused of Trio of Alleged Assaults in Tunbridge
An area man was arrested and cited to two different county court on multiple charges, following a trio of alleged assaults at a Tunbridge home.
Trooper Kelsey Knapp responded to a disturbance at a home on Monarch Hill Road in Tunbridge on July 28 at 4:47 p.m. Knapp was advised that Ronald Bahr, 53, of Tunbridge and Sharon, had assaulted a household member, as well as two of that person’s friends.
Knapp also reported that Bahr had allegedly set fire to some belongings he had put in a fire pit.
About an hour later, troopers located Bahr, just after he arrived home at his residence in Sharon. Troopers screened Bahr and took him into custody for suspected drunken driving and for driving with a suspended license (DLS).
He was processed at the Royalton barracks and ordered to appear August 14 in Windsor County Court on charges of DUI, fifth offense. and DLS.
Bahr was subsequently processed at the barracks on charges of aggravated domestic assault, and two counts each of simple assault and unlawful mischief, in connection with the incident in Tunbridge. A judge was contacted for bail and conditions.
Bahr was ordered held at Southern State Correctional Facility on $10,000 bail, pending a July 30 appearance in Orange County Court, on the five charges related to the Tunbridge complaint.
State police do not release the names of victims of sexual assault or domestic violence.
