Norwich Employees enjoy a summer cookout

Town manager thanking the employees

A fun lunch away from the daily routine

Earlier this year, town manager Herb Durfee, III, stated that it would be nice to invite all Norwich town employees to a summer picnic allowing the employees the opportunity to interact with their fellow town employees that they may not see on a daily basis.

A summer BBQ lunch picnic was held on Thursday, August 2 at the Huntley Meadows Pavilion.  The event was catered by Wicked Awesome Barbecue of White River Junction.  The owners are Norwich residents.  Special thanks to Miranda Bergmeier, Jill Kearney and the setup crew of guests who showed up too early.

The menu included hamburgers, hot dogs, potato salad, mixed green salad, watermelon slices and iced tea.

The Norwich town employee guest list for this “shindig” included:

Police Department employees, including crossing guards

DPW & Transfer Station employees

Tracy Hall employees, including Ben, Adam, and Joe

Fire Department employees, including all firefighters, and fast squad members

Photos for this event were taken by Demo Sofronas.

If we say cheese can we then eat please?

Having a great time.

Looks like the wait will be worth it

Serious debate going on here Gee, Sgt Frank, I only had one burger!

Anyone for seconds?

Just a sampling of all the goodies
