Learn to Make Jam with the Creative Pros at Blake Hill Preserves
On Saturday, Blake Hill Preserves -- the wildly creative jam company at Artisan's Park in Windsor -- will be holding a raspberry jam workshop. Two, actually: one from 9:30 to noon, and the other from 2:00 to 4:30 pm.
This won't be just any raspberry jam. You'll be infusing it with wild bergamot from their gardens, giving it a "subtle floral" flavor. More to the point, the workshops will be led by Vicky Allard, Blake Hill's executive chef and owner, will be teaching classic jam techniques, how to infuse jams with whatever flavors catch your fancy, and how to can jams safely.
