Police are investigating a string of eight thefts, including the theft of a handgun, from vehicles in the Weathersfield and Perkinsville that occurred between 4 p.m. Monday, July 30 and 5:46 a.m. Tuesday, July 31.
Vermont State Police from the Westminster Barracks were called in the early morning of July 31 to investigate a string of vehicle break-ins in both areas.
Upon investigation, it was discovered that eight vehicles on Quarry Road, Maple Street and Upper Falls Road had been broken into. Amongst several miscellaneous items, it was discovered one of the vehicles involved had a handgun taken from it.
Vermont State Police would like to remind everyone to lock their vehicles and to not leave anything of significant value inside of them.
