Accident Occurred on I-89 North
On July 26, at approximately 4:30am, troopers from the NHSP Troop D barracks responded to the report of crash involving a commercial motor vehicle on Interstate 89 North Exit 17 in Lebanon, NH. Upon arrival, troopers discovered that the commercial motor vehicle had rolled over onto its side and came to final rest in the median of the interstate, blocking the high speed travel lane.
The cause of the collision is still under investigation, although speed and alcohol do not appear to be factors, said the NHSP.
According to the NHSP, the driver, Timothy Gilman, 62, was transported to Dartmouth Hitchcock Medical Center with non-life threatening injuries by Lebanon EMS.
The operator is an employee of Optimum staffing and was hauling a full-load of paper products out of Londonderry, NH.
NHSP Troop G responded to the scene to assist in the investigation.
Interstate 89 North in the Lebanon area will be closed intermittently while the commercial motor vehicle is removed from the scene, said the NHSP.
Anyone who has any information regarding the crash should be directed to the lead investigator Trooper Matthew Field at 603-223-4381 or Matthew.Field@dos.nh.gov.
