July 22 Music of Mostly Immigrant Communities- Jose Lezcano, guitar; Virginia Eskin, piano; August Watters, mandolin Music of Castelnuovo-Tedesco, Calacce, Lezcano, and Beethoven, with special guest Melissa Richmond, flute. This program presents works and voices from around the world for duo and trio ensemble. This concert is a part of the “two-day” experience in collaboration with the West Claremont Center for Music and the Arts.
July 29 Homestead Band Crisp Folk and Americana with lush vocal harmonies. NYC bassist Josh Myers’ Homestead Band explores a pastoral Americana sound inspired by Crosby, Stills, and Nash with three-piece vocal harmony.
August 5 The Coral Suite - Dana Lyn, violin and Kyle Sanna, guitar A “through the looking glass” approach to traditional Irish music. Picking up where their last album “The Great Arc” left off, Lyn and Sanna continue their investigation of environmental fragility with “The Coral Suite”: an evocative sequence of Irish tunes that mirrors the life cycles and natural processes that occur within coral reef ecosystems. This concert is a part of the “two-day” experience in collaboration with the West Claremont Center for Music and the Arts.
August 12 13th Annual Rosamond Edmondson Memorial Concert: Hirsch-Pinkas Piano Duo Works by Mozart, Schubert, and Brahms. A performance of 'Cherished Chestnuts' of the 4-hand Repertoire with the Hirsch-Pinkas Duo’s characteristic virtuosity, passion, and irresistible warmth.
August 19 Family Picnic Day: Arabiqa A presentation for the whole family of music and culture of the Arab world, including folk dance and other special park activities. Karim Nagi performs a host of Arabic hand percussion, lute, and voice traditions along with solo and group folk dances. The presentation is a visual and sonic delight in his upbeat and dynamic style.
August 26 Newmont Band Great music of the town bands. Take a tour around New England of the composers and bands of the region that shaped the American town bands through history.
