At age 14, Vera Rivard became the youngest swimmer to ever cross Lake Memphremagog, yesterday, July 18, in the unofficial time of 16 hours and 24 minutes....With tons of chop!
The 25-mile international swim was in Newport, Vermont and ended in Magog, Quebec. Vera swam with six other swimmers.  Darcie (her mom) was her kayaker while crossing and Kevin (Vera's dad) and Margaret (her sister) were her support team in the boat.

The team left shore at around 5am. Margaret was checking email and Facebook throughout the swim—as long as there was service. https://www.facebook.com/darcie.debloisrivard) . The team would love any messages of encouragement and support you’d like to send along.
