Good showings in all Opening Night competitions
It was a busy week for the Lebanon 12U All-Stars and their families as they prepared for the trek to Waterville, Maine to represent the state of New Hampshire at the 2018 Cal Ripken 12U 60' New England Regional Tournament. The team and Lebanon Youth Baseball Association would like to thank all of the individual and business donors to their fundraising drive to help with tournament and travel costs. Their Go Fund Me page will continue accepting donations until Sunday, July 15.
Lebanon's Mike Van Dolah and Joe Benoit represent NH at the Managers Meeting
Following a welcome lunch for all the teams and a managers meeting, the Lebanon All-Stars participated in Opening Ceremonies and Skills Competition on Friday afternoon and evening, along with the other New England Champion teams: Washington Park (RI), Waterville, ME (host team), Ashburnham, MA (Western MA), Bridgeport (CT), Fall River, MA (Eastern MA), Central Vermont (VT), and Andy Valley (ME). You can see a live video from the Opening Ceremonies here.
The Skills Competition included a throwing relay, a running relay, and a home run derby. Lebanon had good showings in all, with Bodie Benoit coming in 2nd in the home run derby to cap things off. Dominic Petkus tied for 3rd in the home run derby with a handful of other power hitters. Check out the best runs in the relays for both Lebanon and Central Vermont All-Stars here.

2018 Lebanon 8U All-Stars
The current 12U All-Stars began this journey as 8U All-Stars many moons ago. Lebanon has another 8U team looking to follow in their footsteps, and we wanted to share their story as well.
The LYBA 8U All-Star team took on a tough Londonderry team in the 3rd game of the NH State Tournament on July 9th. Saturday, the team beat Newport 15-2 and on Sunday they lost to a tough Dover team.
Lebanon kept it close with the hometown team down 8-5 in the top of the 3rd but the Londonderry bats proved to be too much. Lebanon fell 15-5 giving them their second loss and knocking them out of the tournament.
The 2018 LYBA 8U All-Star team was coached by Darell Lindquist, Doug Allard and Trevyr Young. Great job, guys!
