A new book written by Mae Louise Fowler Nicoli, The Poorwoods is the story of the Fowler family who lived on Whipple Hill Road in Lyme, New Hampshire. It "gives a realistic picture of how it used to be growing up in the backwoods of this small New England town in the 1930s, '40s, and '50s. This book contains colorful characters and both humorous and touching portrayals of the life they had up in the backwoods, where the hollows were deep and the bridges were high."
Ms. Nicoli will have copies of her book available for sale and signing. Refreshments.
