Many older adults experience concerns about falling and may restrict their activities in response to this fear. "A Matter of Balance" is an award-winning program designed to manage falls and increase activity levels. This eight-week course will facilitate group discussion to reduce fear of falling and implement practical strategies to avoid falls and improve safety. It includes some very light exercises. You should attend this class if you are concerned about falls, are interested in improving your balance, flexibility, and strength, have fallen in the past, or have restricted your activities because of concerns related to falling.
This program runs for 8 Wednesdays from September 12 to October 31, from 10am to 12pm.
