OK, so this is how Best of the UV works. Last week I asked you to share your favorite coffee shop in the comments. And you did! Then I gathered your recommendations, did a little research, and voila—here are the best coffee shops in the Upper Valley. So say us all.

If we missed your favorite, do us a solid and comment! No best-of list is perfect..until it is. But for now, we feel pretty good about our local coffee options:

Tuckerbox – White River Junction, VT
Get your caffeine on-the-go if you must (and you can, just past the host’s stand), but do try and take your coffee with anything off of Tuckerbox’s Turkish-inspired menu.

Boston Dreams – Windsor, VT
We have it on good authority that the chai latte here is the stuff of dreams—of Boston dreams. And as you sit among all the Boston championship memorabilia, lose count of how many of your dreams have come true.

Hello Café at Cedar Circle Farm – Thetford, VT
Behind the farmstand at Cedar Circle Farm, find Hello Café! Coffees are certified organic and fair trade, teas and tisanes comes from Free Verse Farm in Chelsea, VT, and milk and cream from Strafford Organic Creamery.

Abracadabra Coffee Co. – Woodstock, VT
If you find yourself in Woodstock on a Saturday or Sunday between 9am and 2pm, check out Abracadabra’s pop-up shop and do treat yourself to some of the best coffee around. They’re busy roasting beans to perfection and extracting their essence into a cup. Magic-like.

Dirt Cowboy Café – Hanover, NH
Start your storefront stroll down Hanover’s immaculate Main Street with a cuppa and a fresh croissant. Folks say the mochaccino is especially good, too.

Lucky’s Coffee Garage – Lebanon, NH
Formerly an auto mechanic’s garage, still a place to fuel up! Open barely a year, Lucky’s instant surge in popularity is well-founded. The vibe is fun, the seating is ample, and the coffee is outstanding.

The Local Buzz – Bradford, VT
Opened in 2010, the owners of The Local Buzz say the wanted to create a place where everyone (local or passerby) could feel at home. Good luck getting your caffeine fix without springing for something off the breakfast or lunch menu—with all local ingredients.

Mon Vert Café – Woodstock, VT
Woodstock surely wins for best coffee options in the Upper Valley, and Mon Vert Café sets the local standard. Fresh baked goods, pancakes and waffles, paninis to go with your—did I mention iced cappuccino? Yes, I did.
