Claremont Police Report: Bicycle Reported Stolen ...and It's Recovered

On Wednesday, June 20, Claremont police received a call from someone whose child's bike had been stolen the day before. The caller spotted an unknown male riding the bike down Myrtle Street and provided a description to the police. Police recovered the bicycle and took Jesse Blanchard, 20, into custody. Blanchard was charged with receiving stolen property.

Domestic violence

On Thursday, June 21, Aaron Theroux, 31, of Claremont, was charged with domestic violence relating to an incident at an earlier date. Theroux was charged and released to appear in court at a later date. 

On Friday, June 22, a caller reported violation of a protection order during a child exchange in front of the police department. 

Also on Friday, a female caller asked for help with a domestic disturbance that was turning violent. Police responded and took Brian Pillsbury, 47, into custody. Pilllsbury was wanted on a bench warrant.

On Saturday June 23 a caller in the vicinity of Pleasant Street reported an assault by a woman with a knife. The caller was unhurt. Sarah Harvey, 24, was charged with criminal threatening and domestic violence shortly after 10 p.m. 

Also on June 23, police received three calls in an hour reporting a domestic disturbance on Spofford Street. Derek Johnson, 35, was charged with assault and domestic violence at 1:40 a.m. The female victim was offered a ride to Valley Regional Hospital but declined because there was no one to watch children in the house if she left. 

Also around 1:41 a.m. June 23 police responded to a call from Middle Street of a domestic disturbance in progress. Danielle Gucwa, 38, was charged with assault and domestic violence and taken into custody. 

On Sunday June 24 a phone call to the police reported a domestic disturbance at Broad Street. Sheryl Lyn Short, 50, was arrested on a bench warrant relating to trespassing charges around 9:30 p.m..

On Friday June 29 another domestic disturbance was reported from Spofford Street, in which a man trying to leave the residence with children was grabbed by a woman. The incident took place around 7:30 p.m. Taryn Tubman, 29, was subsequently charged with domestic violence, assault and transported to the jail. 

On Sunday another wanted person was picked up as a result of a domestic disturbance call on Pleasant Street. Shawn Jones, 30, was charged with violation of a protection order around 9 p.m. and taken by police to the House of Corrections.
