Lebanon Cal Ripken 12U All-Stars Defeat Gilford in NH 60' State Tournament Semi-Final Game
Remain Undefeated - Play for State Title on Friday
Dawson Bates didn't allow a single run against Gilford, throwing a complete game shutout and leading Lebanon to a 5-0 victory on Tuesday, July 3rd.
Lebanon opened up the scoring in the first inning. Zachary Aldrich led things off with a great hit down the right-field line for a triple. Dawson followed that up with a single on a 1-0 count, scoring Zachary for the first run of the night. Lebanon went on to outhit Gilford eight to two in the contest.
Dawson earned the win for Lebanon. He allowed two hits and zero runs over six innings, striking out nine and walking two. Gavin took the loss for Gilford. He surrendered one run on two hits over three innings, striking out six and walking three. Lebanon didn't commit a single error in the field.

With this win, Lebanon punches their ticket to the NH 12U 60’ Cal Ripken State Championship game on Friday night at 5:30 PM. The team would love to see you there to cheer them on in person! The Barrington Youth Association baseball fields can be found at 276 Smoke Street, Barrington, NH 03825 on your GPS. Be sure to show up at least 15 minutes early in order to be there for the team line up announcement and the National Anthem. There is no admission fee to attend, and BYA offers restrooms (not just porta-potties) and a concession stand on site.
Lebanon will play either Barrington or Gilford on Friday night. Barrington beat Kingswood in the other Tuesday night game, by a score of 8-4. Barrington and Gilford will face each other on Thursday night - with the winner moving on to the rematch with Lebanon for the 2018 ‘ship on Friday, July 6th. As the Lebanon boys remain undefeated, they would need just one win to take the title.
The winner then moves on to represent the state of New Hampshire in the New England Regional Tournament in Waterville, Maine beginning on July 13th. Good luck Lebanon All-Stars!
