A/C is our friend during this heat wave.  So what is there to do so you're not stuck in the house all day?

Montshire museum cards.  So a lot of us already know about how awesome the Montshire is.  How do you add a little variety to the trip?  I've created some activity cards to do with your kids for different age levels.  If you have other ideas for cards or want to see some for a different activity or location, let me know in the comments and I'll see if I can make some new ones for you.

Children’s Museums.  If you're a regular at the Montshire and want to try some place new, you can check out these children's museums a short drive away.  I've been to the Keene one and really enjoyed it.  You can also make a day trip out of it and go to one of the museums further away; I've suggested other activities to try while you're there.

Indoor Local Activities for Kids. Bowling, bounce houses, arcades and more. Here are some places to pick up the kids and go when you're looking for something to do.  What about toddlers? Here is a list.  You can also try the bounce house in Claremont or Hanover.

Take a Day Trip.  I love day trips.  How about a trip to Manchester?  Trampolines and more.  You can also go swimming and stay cool by trying these two day trips in Lyme and Hartford.  Want something mostly inside?  How about a local learning adventure in Windsor?  Stay tuned for more day trip ideas.

This post is for the winter, but a lot of still applies (crafts, games, skating and more.)

Stay cool and safe.
