Wanted Man Allegedly in Possession of Stolen Jeep Arrested
Female Not Believed to Be Involved in Case
On June 28, the Lebanon Police Department sought the public’s help with locating a Peter P. Dotzel, age 36, along with a stolen Jeep Wrangler Rubicon he was allegedly in possession of.
At approximately 2:00 p.m. today, Dotzel was located on Main Street in West Lebanon by Lebanon patrol officers and detectives and taken into custody. The stolen Jeep was recovered in Fairlee, VT. The female companion that Dotzel was seen with in surveillance video has been identifed and interviewed. It is not believed that she was aware of the fraudulent activity, said Lebanon Police Chief Richard Mello in a press release.
Dotzel was transported to the Grafton County House of Corrections pending his arraignment in the Grafton County Superior Court on June 29th. He is charged with Theft by Deception, a Class A Felony, and being a Fugitive from Justice out of Pennsylvania.
