Yoga for Girls
Ages: 12 +
Yoga helps tweens and teens build the groundwork to live a healthy lifestyle in a safe and noncompetitive space. It is a perfect complement to their busy academic and extracurricular schedules, connecting them with themselves and others in a fun and nurturing environment, and leaving them refreshed and ready for the world. Clear instruction will be given in breathing technique, warm-up, and posture flow. New students will develop body awareness, posture alignment, and core strength in basic poses, while experienced students are encouraged to explore more advanced variations in familiar postures. Everyone works to her own ability and comfort level.
