Maker, Tinker, Wonder, FUN at the Museum

Submitted 5 months ago

As you map out the kids’ summer calendar, circle these days: First Monday, Second Tuesday, and Third Wednesday. Then bring your kids to American Precision Museum. Tell them there’ll be some making, some tinkering, and lots of wondering.

Come the first Monday of every month for MAKER MONDAY and makerspace fun. From simple cardboard marble mazes to K’nex machines to building your own telegraph switch, let your imagination run wild. A limited number of basic tools will be available. Free with admission, 10 AM to noon.

The second Tuesday each month is TINKER TUESDAY! Experimentation is the name of the game. Kids are encouraged to bring a small item from home to take apart and see how it works. We’ll also have some items on hand to tinker with. Free with admission, 10 AM to noon.

A Family of Makers at the Museum

And every Third Wednesday is WONDER WEDNESDAY. Just bring yourself and a sense of wonder. Have you ever wondered how something is made? Or why some buildings fall down in an earthquake and others don’t? Or do you wonder if you could make something that works? Come learn about electronic circuits, how a magnet works, or create your own comic book. Free with admission, 10 AM to noon.

Maker Monday, Tinker Tuesday, and Wonder Wednesday runs now through the end of October. Children must be accompanied by an adult.
