While officers were still enroute to the scene, the 26-year-old daughter told dispatchers that she had fled the home on foot and that Kevin Hicks had followed her outside and fired off a shotgun into the air.

Police established a perimeter around the house and made contact with Hick's 53-year-old girlfriend who told them that she had wrestled a handgun away from Hicks before managing to lock herself in the bathroom of the home.

Hicks, 48, exited the house a short time later and was taken into custody without further incident.

Hicks is due to be arraigned later today at the Grafton County Superior Court on felony charges of reckless conduct with a firearm and criminal threatening.
