The Fairlee common will be filled with music and people again this summer, as the 2nd annual Fairlee Community Music Series brings family-friendly entertainment to town.
A series of nine free concerts spanning a variety of genres will be held each Tuesday evening in July and August from 6:30-8:00 pm, rain or shine. Concerts are scheduled to occur outside on the town common, with bands playing in the bandstand. Concertgoers are encouraged to bring chairs or blankets for seating. In case of rain, the concerts will move indoors to the handicap-accessible and air-conditioned Fairlee Town Hall auditorium.
Schedule: 7/3 Wyld Nightz Band; 7/10 Phil Henry Acoustic Trio; 7/17 Onion River Jazz Band; 7/24 The Ticket; 7/31 Bob Amos and Catamount Crossing; 8/7 Lyme Town Band and ice cream social; 8/14 Mellow Yellow; 8/21 The Renegade Groove; 8/28 The Party Crashers. See www.fairleearts.org. for information on the performers and bands.
Professional sound support will be provided by Catamount Arts. The local church will be selling food and beverages at each concert. During intermission, items donated by local businesses will be given away by means of a drawing.
