New Common Cents Feature: Upper Valley Land Trust!
We are excited to announce that the Upper Valley Land Trust is our feature organization for our Common Cents program in June!
This organization of Hanover, New Hampshire works to protect New Hampshire and Vermont farms and green spaces that make the Upper Valley such a unique place to live. They focus on promoting local food and creating opportunities for those that grow it, protecting clean water sources, and increasing accessibility to natural areas by building parks and trails. View their ongoing projects on their website here!
Both the Upper Valley Food Co-op and the Upper Valley Land Trust work to support our local food economy, which helps to make our community more sustainable and resilient. Please consider supporting the Upper Valley Land Trust by rounding up your purchase total at the Co-op through our Common Cents Community Contribution Program. Common Cents allows customers to round up their purchases to the nearest dollar, and the difference benefits community-supportive organizations whose missions align with the Co-op's! Twenty-five percent of donations go to the Upper Valley Haven, 25% go to the Vermont Foodbank, and 50% go to our feature organization (Upper Valley Land Trust for the month of June).
We have opted to not ask customers if they would like to round up, so please, if you'd like to participate, remember to tell your cashier that you’d like to round up your purchase total in order to donate! Thanks to all who have contributed so far!
If your organization would like to be considered as a beneficiary, please email our Education & Outreach Coordinator at firstname.lastname@example.org.
