Fire at Boulders Apartments Building F
Building Searched, Several People Assisted during Evacuation
On May 31, at 7:17 a.m., the Lebanon Fire Department was dispatched to the 20 Wolf Road, the Boulders Apartments for a report of a fire in the front entry of Building F. Upon arrival of Lebanon Car 1 at 7:20 a.m., Chief Chris Christopoulos reported heavy smoke visible near the entry way on the upper side of the building. He activated the building fire alarm to begin evacuation of both sections of the building, and Lebanon Police personnel assisted with initial evacuation.
Lebanon Engine 9 arrived at 7:22 a.m., and personnel stretched a single 1 1/34” hose line and contained the fire to the front entry way. Additional Lebanon, Hanover, and Hartford personnel performed a search of the building and assisted several people to evacuate. One resident, who was on home oxygen, was evaluated on-scene for exposure to smoke and refused transport.
The fire was contained to the entry way and declared under control at 7:34 a.m.
The cause of the fire is under investigation and not considered suspicious.
Lebanon units cleared the scene and turned the property over to property management at 8:04 a.m. No occupants were displaced as a result of this incident, reported the Lebanon Fire Department.
