Seasons of NH

How many can you count?

I don't know about all of you, but growing up in New England I have always loved the summer. Yes, it is muggy and smells of manure and swamp depending on the time of day, but there are hidden gems that have always peaked my excitement. When most people think of the seasons, they think of summer, fall, winter, and spring. Here in New Hampshire, I'm sure we can all attest to their being many more than that.  We have: allergy season, lilac season, mud season, and my personal favorite is fair season; I seriously cannot get enough of those deliciously unhealthy fair foods.

Growing up, my favorite place to go every single summer was Salisbury Beach, MA. It had carnival rides, and the best food, all located right there on the beach. I have gone almost every year, since I was too young to remember. They took the rides out and the food has become less than great and honestly the area has lost a lot of its novelty so I am probably skipping it this year instead of packing up all the kids. This means that Fair Season this year will be more important than ever. The Cornish Fair is great, but it is kind of small and I'm ready for new adventures. So guys, I need your help! What are your favorite fairs? Are they good for toddlers? What are your favorite fair foods? Spill all the beans because this momma is going into summer not caring about her beach bod!Image result for fair food
