Memorial Day

The young and the older tells of our continued pride in our Country

Monday May 28, 2018  the crowd gathered around the Veteran's Memorial Park here in Windsor Vermont as I looked around the event I could see how invested the crowd and the speaker's were in engaging with the high energy of the day. The metals' and uniforms were placed well under the many proud flying flags' as the wind blow gently and the chilly day that would soon warm. When the National Anthem started to play, after a closing pray, I personally held the tears of emotion back and the lump in my throat. A woman named Diane had been there days before planting flowers in the Park and she said to me that she disliked the idea that there were blank stones as if we are waiting for the next War so to crave new names' of more falling hero's, I empathized with her attention to the idea that no more War so no more Stones' engraved with those who are ready, able and so willing to lay their life on the line for our Freedom.
