Domino’s Pizza opened in Hanover at 73 South Main Street, in
the same building as the Irving Gas station. Owned locally by Keith Bell of
Berlin, Vermont, the Hanover location makes Bell’s fifth Domino’s store along
with locations in Claremont, West Lebanon, St. Johnsbury, and Montpelier. Bell
began working for Domino’s as a driver in 2000, becoming a manager in 2005,
before purchasing his first franchise location in Claremont in 2015. “Domino’s
requires those interested in purchasing a franchise location to first start off
as a driver and learn the business,” says Bell. “I offer my employees who
become supervisors the opportunity to buy into the franchise as a partner and
now I have several employee-owner partners.” In Hanover, managers Rob and
Jessica Keene are partners in the franchise.
Bell’s franchise locations employ approximately 100 people
and giving back to the community is important to their business model. “We sponsor
two separate Little League teams in our stores and we donate pizzas to the
Prouty each year,” says Bell. “We know that people see the name Domino’s and
think we are a corporate-owned big box store, but really we are a locally owned
Domino’s offers extended delivery hours past 12 midnight. To
