This summer, the Vermont-based Cirque Us will begin its third tour, "StarStruck: A Cosmic Circus." While they will debut their new tour in Brattleboro, VT, the group will continue performing along the East Coast throughout the coming months. The group features two born-and-raised Vermonters and, currently, six of the performers live in Vermont. The show is comprised of 10 acrobatics, aerialists and clowns.
More than just a Vermont circus, Cirque Us has made a positive impact as a growing arts entertainment group. They have gained national attention in the circus arts community due to their innovation and creativity. The group seeks to express their belief in freedom through play and movement. They use the stage to bring communities together and to share their message of inclusion. It's a family-friendly performance that will surely captivate and entertain everyone that attends.
"This year's show, directed by Jesse Dryden, features three time world record holder, Delaney Bayles. Delaney is accompanied by graduates of the New England Center for Circus Arts, as well as the National Circus Center in London. This years show is called 'StarStruck: A Cosmic Circus' and is the story of 9 celestial planets, each one the center of their own universe. 'Come dance among the stars while they chase comets, dive through black holes, juggle moons, and defy gravity.'" -Doug Stewart, Cirque Us Tour Manager
