On Sunday, May 27 there will be a fun preview of the auction of all the fabulous objects that will follow the next day. Snacks, wine, cheese, incredible objects? Remember those 2 scary (but kind of happy) looking people in the painting called American Gothic?
Grant Wood's American Gothic (will NOT be at auction!)
Come see a Grant Wood lithograph that's going on the auction block in Plainfield on Monday, May 28. There's also a painting by Edward Redfield that is estimated to be sold for between $75,000 and $125,000. Plus the jewelry and the documents signed by people like - um - Abraham Lincoln.
Going to the preview provides you with a great opportunity to look at the hundreds of items that will be sold. You'll be able to ask questions and check the condition of the items. And there will be refreshments. All are welcome.
