You don’t have to make or listen to all 50,000 seconds of music, but you could fill this Saturday doing so if you’d like. Or scan the schedule for a particular favorite, or failing that, just drop by.

The Upper Valley Music Center is holding a music fest this Saturday, May 19, from 7:04 a.m. to 9:00 p.m. Most of the activities will take place at venues in downtown Lebanon NH, including the Music Center itself, the First Congregational Church, Salt Hill Pub and of course, Colburn Park; there will be an evening concert at the Briggs Opera House in White River Junction VT.

The Center’s Sing and Play 50K is part of fundraising efforts to support its educational mission after its purchase and renovation of an historic building in the growing arts sector of Lebanon. There will be a pickup chorus, orchestra, and jazz jam, as well as the popular Juneberry Community Chorus. You’re invited to play, sing, or join the audience.

Registration may be required for some events. For further information including alternative rain sites, and for a full schedule of events, go to the UVMC’s website, http://www.uvmusic.org/sp50k
