There will be plenty of history to go around at the William Smith Auctions Memorial Weekend sale. Here are a few of the items in the auction.

1862 letter from "A. Lincoln" to Secretary of War Edward Stanton 

A collection of 1770's Continental Currency in an early bound book 

An 1818 journal kept by Henry Young, Captain of Topographical Engineers in the first Seminole War led by Andrew Jackson. Journal has 125 pages journal charting East and West Florida, recording soils, forts, Indians, etc. 

This is your chance to see some real American history up close and personal. Come to the preview to see these items before they go on sale at the auction.

Preview: May 27 from 12 pm - 5 pm (refreshments, wine and cheese served) and May 27 from 8:30 am to 10 am.

Auction time: Auction begins on May 28 at 10:00 am
