Worth Knowing: White River Indie Festival coming June 1-3 - not to be missed!
Now in its 14th year, WRIF brings a collection of feature and documentary films from around the world to White River Junction on June 1–3, Friday through Sunday, at the Barrette Center for the Arts other downtown WhiteRiver venues.
Called “the most iconoclastic media festival inVermont” by Seven Days, WRIF showcases the best of independent film and hosts workshops, panels, and parties for cinephiles, filmmakers, and the curious or adventuresome viewer. It’s not just a film festival!

This year, the festival’s Friday night Gala brings a world premiere toWRIF with Samantha Davidson Green’s much-anticipated Thrasher Road. Filmed in 20 states, the film that started in the Upper Valley is coming home to open the festival’s Friday night gala. Starring Vermont and Upper Valley actors Allison Fay Brown, Michelle Carlson, Erik Gaetz, Darby Hiebert, and Christian Kohn.
