SOUTH WOODSTOCK STONEHENGE: WHO CAN SOLVE THE MYSTERY?
Walking on Morgan Hill Road in South Woodstock the other morning, Wally the neighbor dog sniffed out a wonder built of stone.
Rising up against the hillside was a collection of sculptures created with rough-hewn stone. Here, an arch with a wise face beneath. There, an oversize cairn rising into the azure sky. Everywhere, evidence of creative flight.
Had Druids landed here and fashioned these artworks? Or perhaps monks with access to the kind of heavy equipment needed to pile one boulder, etched by centuries, atop another?
Wally and I want to know. Who's got the answer?
