Spring is technically here, and we're finally seeing green! Come celebrate the season with some limited edition beers and munchies from the kitchen!
4.20 marks the final round of judging for the Make The Cut Homebrew Challenge from Beverage Warehouse of Vermont & 14th Star Brewing Company! Simultaneous keg tapping across the state for two amazing homebrew entries:
A Catharina-Style Sour brewed by Aaron Ritchie of Williston. At 5.2% ABV, Tropical Graffiti is visually stunning and exotic. "Tart, refreshing, and tastefully fruited — this beer is inspired by nights spent in the tropics, 80’s rock stars who did splits in the air, macho wrestlers who had long hair, and Hawaiian P.I.’s who were most debonair."
OUR SAVING GRACE
A 7% New England-Style IPA brewed by Byan Landerman & Greg Goyette of South Burlington. Our Saving Grace is a hazy, straw colored creation dry hopped with Mosaic, Citra, and Ekuanot. The beer delivers a mouthful of tropical juicy hops and a soft lasting citrus flavor that leaves you wanting more.
4.20 is also the annual release of Lagunitas Brewing Co's The Waldos' Special Ale: An Imperial IPA clocking in at 11.3% ABV and over 100 IBU!
"In 1971, the Waldos met one afternoon at 4:20 in the front courtyard of their school near the statue of Louis Pasteur. They set out in a '66 Impala armed with a 'treasure map' on a journey to find a secret garden near Point Reyes. They met there at the same time every day and continued their quest. They never found the secret garden....But they keep lookin'. The dankest and hoppiest beer ever brewed at Lagunitas was made with help of the Waldos for all treasure hunters."
The Waldos' Special Ale is herbaceous, botanical, dank and resinous, and will be served in a commemorative mason jar for you to take home!
