Worth Knowing: New food truck in Lebanon - serving truffle fries!
A new food truck started serving up delicious food today at Colburn Park in Lebanon. Owned and operated by Erik Almestica and Garrett Wilson, the brightly painted red and black food truck is called VT Munchies. The menu features items like Korean Street Tacos, the Ogre Burger (bacon cheese burger), the Mount Bacon (a towering BLT), Truck-Made Slaw and - wait for it - Truffle Fries. Almestica and Wilson are locally sourcing as much of the ingredients as they can - the beef is from Robie and Hardwick Farms, the bacon from North Country Smokehouse, olive oils from Infuse Me, vegetables from Upper Valley farms, etc.
VT Munchies will be open 5 days a week, from Tuesday through Saturday. Almestica and Wilson still aren’t sure about the permanent schedule, but you should count on VT Munchies for lunch and - if you’re lucky - maybe even breakfast.
Before conceiving VT Munchies, Almestica worked for Dartmouth College Dining Services for years and Wilson’s family used to own A.J.’s Steakhouse in White River Junction.
