Worth Knowing: Spotlight on Red River Charitable Foundation
There are lots of nonprofits in the Upper Valley doing lots of things. We think it's worth knowing what the missions of these organizations are, who runs them and who is volunteering their time to help run them.
Mission: Red River Charitable Foundation (RRCF) is a 501(c)(3), charitable organization with a dual mandate and mission. It is located in Claremont. RRCF promotes and encourages students to continue their studies in the fields of science and technology as well as supporting US military veterans transitioning to civilian life. RRCF provides opportunities for students in middle school through college interested in Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math (STEM) with scholarships, internships, mentoring, and donations of IT equipment. RRCF supports veterans and their families by providing technology career counseling and mentorships as well as emergency monetary assistance as they integrate back into our community.

RRCF grew out of Red River Computer, Inc., a Claremont-based company that provides security, network and cloud solutions to commercial, civilian, defense, intelligence and healthcare markets. With Red River Computer's expansion to locations in Virginia, Texas and California, RRCF plans to further its mission in those geographic areas as well.
