Facets: Meet Balvin. He used to love to play cricket.

Balvin, Cook at Simon Pearce

Meet Balvin. He used to love to play cricket.

Balvin was born in the Hanover Parish of Jamaica. He grew up there with his brother and sister. As a child, Balvin loved to play cricket, a national pastime in Jamaica. Balvin's first job was in the kitchen at a Sandals Resort. In 2000, Balvin moved to Quechee to take a job as a line cook at Simon Pearce. He met his wife in West Lebanon. She's from Haiti. He'd like to try hiking or some other outdoor activities, but he works almost all the time. Some day. He visited Haiti about 3 years ago and looks forward to going back home to visit.
