Enfield Shaker Museum, a non-profit educational organization, is seeking a full time (40-hr/week) Development Assistant/Operation Specialist. This position works closely with the Executive Director, other staff, and the Development Committee to support all aspects of fundraising and development, as well as, supporting the Executive Director and Treasurer in assuring a smooth day-to-day operation of the Museum. Principal responsibilities include: maintaining and managing the donor database; managing membership communications, renewals, and acknowledgements; and preparing for and documenting fundraising efforts. Help prepare for Board meetings, assist with volunteer coordination and participate in the preparation of bank deposits. The Development Assistant/Operations Specialist takes pride in meticulous attention to detail, is capable of managing multiple tasks has strong communications skills, both written and verbal, shows discretion while handling sensitive and confidential matters, and is a team player and self-starter who is able to work independently as well as part of a team. The position requirements are as follows: bachelor’s degree preferred; administrative, record-keeping, or office experience required; proficient with Microsoft Office software, especially Word, Excel, and Outlook, with database software, and e-communications experience. Strong writing skills. Interest in history, education, and preservation a plus.
