The HR State Council of New Hampshire has named White River Junction resident David Twitchell the 2018 HR Hero. The Hero Award is awarded each year to just one Granite State HR Hero who takes pride in advancing the HR profession and devotes valuable time to volunteering in their community. Twitchell is Vice President of Human Resources for Catholic Charities of New Hampshire.

Twitchell has held leadership roles in the New Hampshire State Council and has worked with the Champlain Valley United Way in supporting numerous activities and programs to support families, including giving emergency loans, having on site counselors to help employees through rough spots with fuel assistance, housing, budgeting, and childcare.  That program just moved across the Connecticut River into New Hampshire and is being initiated by the Granite United Way in the Upper Valley. Prior to being the Vermont State Council Director, Dave was President of the River Valley Human Resources Chapter.

The NH State Council and its Granite State Human Resources Conference is dedicated to the professional growth of HR professionals.
