Carolyn Towle to Receive Good Scout Award

Luncheon to be Held April 11

Carolyn Towle will be honored by the Daniel Webster Council, Boy Scouts of America for her service to the community while exemplifying Scouting values in her daily life. The aims of Scouting are to develop character, to encourage participating citizenship, and to promote personal fitness.    As a community leader who has worked to foster these attributes in other people through her work and volunteer effort, Towle is recognized with the Greater Claremont Good Scout Award, said the organization.

Towle has been a dedicated community leader with her involvement as a 4-H Leader and Mentor.  She has served her community in many capacities, including the Amtrak Ad Hoc Committee, Zoning Board of Adjustment, Parks and Recreation Committee and City Council.  She is currently a legal assistant at the Law Offices of Howard Dunn.  Towle was elected to the Claremont School Board on March 13.

In addition to recognizing Towle, the luncheon will benefit the Boy Scouts of New Hampshire (Daniel Webster Council).  Mayor Charlene Lovett will preside over the award presentation.   

The Greater Claremont Good Scout Award Luncheon will be held at noon on Wednesday, April 11th, at the Common Man Restaurant in Claremont.  

The Daniel Webster Council serves over 10,000 youth throughout New Hampshire in almost 500 chartered Cub Scout packs, Boy Scout troops, Varsity teams, Venture crews, and Explorer posts.
