Facets: Bodie, the Smiling Face of Northeast Foreign Cars

With a photo of himself playing in a band at Hartford High School

Meet Bodie. He loves Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers.

Bodie was born in Lebanon and grew up in White River Junction. He went to Hartford High School. Bodie loved British cars and playing the organ in his band and spent as much time tinkering and playing as he could. His first job was as a stock boy at J.J. Newberry’s in downtown White River Junction when he was 15. He spent a lot of time working at his parents’ car dealership doing whatever needed to be done.

Bodie has worked at Northeast Foreign Cars for 12 years with a timeout somewhere in between to work for his father selling excavators. Bodie still loves tinkering with cars and making music. When he’s not doing one of those things, you can probably kind him riding his Harley 883. But his absolute favorite thing to do is to play with his granddaughter. There is no question that his favorite band is Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers - and that's usually what's playing at work.

Bodie has been married for 40 years and lives with his wife in Hartford. They have 2 grown sons and a cat and a dog. Bodie is 65.
