Twin Pine Housing Trust has secured $648,235 in low-income housing credits, which will allow it to move forward with the construction of a 29-unit apartment building on Tracy Street in West Lebanon. When finished, the building will feature 19 one-bedroom apartments and 10 two-bedroom apartments. The building will be located close to the Kilton Public Library with great access to Advance Transit as well as restaurants and shops.

With funding and most of the necessary permits in hand, Twin Pines is seeking permission to raze two single-family houses that sit on the future home of the apartment building. If all goes as planned, construction will begin this summer. The apartment building will be a "net zero" affordable housing project. The net zero part means that solar panels installed on the roof will provide for all of the building's energy needs. It is the first net zero affordable housing project in the State of New Hampshire.

Twin Pines Housing Trust is a non-profit developer of affordable housing in the Upper Valley. Twin Pines' offices are in White River Junction.
