Worth Knowing

Meet Terry. He learned to drive a car when he was 9.

Terry was born in Dover, NH and grew up in Strafford, NH. He went to Coe-Brown High School where he did not enjoy sports. Instead, he tinkered with anything that had wheels and a motor. He learned how to drive a 4-wheeler at the age of 7 and a car at 9.

His first job was in the kitchen at the Bow Lake Inn. Given his love of cars, it was only natural that he later join the team at Advance Auto Parts, and he worked there during and after college. He still gets called in for the occasional shift when the staff is short-handed. His love for cars remains fervid and he has owned nearly 60 over the course of his young life. He currently has a fleet of 7, which includes a 1964 Ford Econoline, a 1970 VW bus, a 1990 Audi coupe and a Mini Cooper that was built much more recently than the others.

Terry has been working at the Visiting Nurse and Hospice for Vermont and New Hampshire since 2014. He is responsible for liaising with the 96 Vermont and New Hampshire towns that support VNH. He loves their new office in White River Junction because it so bright and airy.

Terry lives in Cornish with his wife and 3 adopted dogs. They spend just about every minute of their free time renovating the old colonial they purchased there. Terry just turned 27.

Favorite sandwich: Cubano

Something he's afraid of: nothing, must be from riding that 4-wheeler at 7
