PHOTOS: Hanover High students stage walk out in support of nationwide gun safety efforts
Marched to Post Office to mail postcards to legislators
HANOVER, NH - Chanting "Never again!," hundreds of Hanover High students staged a walkout and march on Friday, leaving their school building at exactly 2:19 p.m., the same time that the gunman opened fire just a month ago at Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School in Parkland, Florida at the start of the mass shooting that killed 17 students.
The students and accompanying adults, including a half-dozen local legislators - many of them Hanover High alumni themselves, held a brief rally in front of the high school and then walked downtown to the Hanover Post Office where they mailed several boxes worth of postcards to a variety of legislators encouraging them to make stronger efforts to address gun violence in the nation's schools.
