Interstate 91 southbound at Exit 12 in Wilder is being shut completely down
Two tractor trailers reported to be on their sides
WHITE RIVER JUNCTION - Interstate 91's southbound lane south of Exit 12 in the Wilder village section of Hartford is being shut completely down and traffic is being diverted off the interstate there due to two tractor trailers that have tipped over onto their sides in the S-curves leading down to the Long Bridges over the White River.
There were no immediate reports of injuries but multiple vehicles were reportedly off the road in the area because of the snowy conditions.
Hartford firefighters arrived on the scene shortly after 8:30 p.m. and began assessing the situation, reporting that the roadway was completely blocked and the Vermont State Police ordered the closure of the highway at Exit 12 shortly thereafter.
The situation is expected to take heavy wreckers several hours to clear up.
