Police said that Jensie Pliego, 31, of Claremont went airborne for approximately 30 feet after she drove over a snowbank beside Route 120 just north of the entrance to Centerra Parkway, which is at the major intersection atop the hill leading off to either Centerra Park or, in the opposite direction, to the DHMC complex.

When the car landed it struck a ditch and rolled onto its roof trapping passenger James Mills, 56, of Claremont in the front seat where he had to be freed by Lebanon firefighters.

Mills sustained a broken back and the 10-year-old was being treated for suspected fractures to his fingers, police said.

Pliego, who also sustained potentially serious injuries to her neck and a knee, was arrested after she was transported to the hospital and charged with a felony counts of aggravated drunk driving with serious bodily injury resulting as well as misdemeanor counts of aggravated drunk driving with a passenger under the age of sixteen onboard and reckless conduct.  She was released on $5,000 personal recognizance bail and is due in Grafton County Superior Court on March 19th to formally answer the charges.
