I have known Ted for quite awhile now, actually ever since he was just a little cub.

As you likely are aware, most bears are not around this time of year. They spend the winter sleeping in caves dreaming of wild berries and beech nuts. Ted, however, doesn't hibernate and, by mid-February, winter begins to wear on his patience a bit. At my urging, he has agreed to stop by the DailyUV to share with you, over the next few days, his methods for getting through winter. You might want to follow this post so you don't miss anything.

Take it, Ted !

Hi All!  You know, when I was a wee cub, I loved every wintry day. My parents would bundle me up and off I would go - digging, sliding, romping about, making snow forts, throwing snowballs. I couldn't get enough of the white stuff.

These days I find that my enthusiasm for winter has pretty much faded by mid-February.  However, as I learned on the knee of my Great Grandfather Abraham de Bear,

" Most bears are about as happy as they make up their minds to be."

So I have developed some ways to power through the winter with my smile on and I will be bringing them to you over the next few days.

See You Tomorrow!!
