Patrick Parris, 31, of Derby, Vermont was charged with driving under the influence, heroin possession and heroin trafficking after he came to shortly after 11 a.m. Thursday as police and EMTs began arriving in the rest area to see if he was alright.

Trooper Cohen Forbes said that a Windham Court clerk set release conditions for Parris following his arrest and he was eventually released with a citation ordering him to appear at the courthouse in Brattleboro on March 13th to formally answer the criminal charges.
